Ice Skating NYC

Last updated: October 5, 2026

An ice skating evening in New York usually means one of three rinks: Rockefeller Center, Wollman Rink in Central Park, or Bryant Park. Bryant Park’s village, rink and shops, runs October 28, 2026 through February 28, 2027. Rockefeller and Wollman dates must be confirmed with each rink. If the chauffeur stays for more than the first drop, book the night by the hour.

The short version

None of these rinks has a private driveway. You are dropped at a legal curb and you walk. One rink and a release is point-to-point, from $130 sedan or $160 SUV. Two rinks, or a rink plus dinner, is hourly service: $120 sedan, $150 SUV, $175 S-Class, $200 Sprinter, three-hour minimum. Confirm session times with the rink before you lock the pickup.

Rockefeller Center

The rink is the lower plaza at Rockefeller Center, between 49th and 50th Streets, west of Fifth Avenue. Cars do not enter the plaza. The workable stops are Fifth Avenue if the curb is open to a quick drop, or the side streets at 49th and 50th between Fifth and Sixth. Security lines and photo crowds form on the Fifth Avenue approach. Name the cross street on the reservation and give a mobile number. If the curb is held for buses, the last block is on foot.

This page does not publish 2026 session times or ticket prices for the rink. Confirm those with Rockefeller Center. One date around the plaza is fixed enough to plan around: the tree lighting is Wednesday, December 2, 2026, confirm at rockefellercenter.com. The broadcast is around 8 p.m. and the tree is lit just before 10 p.m. The tree then stays on view into January. On lighting night, do not expect a car to wait on Fifth Avenue. Book hourly only if you have a waiting point off the plaza, and leave extra time to walk in and out.

Wollman Rink

Wollman Rink is at the southeast corner of Central Park, near 59th Street and Sixth Avenue, by Grand Army Plaza. The park loop is not a reliable place to stage a car in the evening. Use 59th Street or the Sixth Avenue side of the plaza, then walk in. Confirm whether park drives are open that night with the park or the rink. This page does not state a 2026 opening day for Wollman. Treat the session time on your ticket as the only clock that matters.

A Wollman evening often pairs with a hotel on Central Park South or a dinner farther south. If those are two addresses plus a wait, it is hourly. If you only need to be delivered and collected later, book the drop and a return as two point-to-point rides and put a pickup time on the second one. Do not assume the chauffeur can idle at the rink entrance.

Bryant Park

The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park opens October 28, 2026 and runs through February 28, 2027. It is the rink and the holiday shops. Extended hours are around November 19 through January 3, and the shops close earlier than the rink. Confirm the day at bryantpark.org. The park is Midtown, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and 40th and 42nd Streets. Stop on Sixth Avenue or on 40th or 42nd, not inside the lawn. The fuller curb notes are on the Bryant Park Winter Village page.

An hourly evening across more than one rink

Rockefeller, Wollman, and Bryant Park are all in Manhattan, and none of them is a long drive from the others. The time disappears in the walk, the session, and the avenue, not in the miles. A plan that says “skate at five, photos at Rockefeller, dinner at eight” will not fit inside a single point-to-point. Book limo service by the hour so the same car moves when you do. Three hours is the minimum. If the session plus dinner runs longer, add hours. There is no skating package and no flat for “two rinks.”

Published hourly floors are $120 E-Class, $150 Escalade, $175 S-Class, and $200 Sprinter. Three-hour totals are $360, $450, $525, and $600. Point-to-point, when you truly release the car, starts at $130 sedan or $160 SUV. The Escalade listing is six passengers. A family with guests beyond that should confirm a Sprinter layout before the day. Skate bags count. Say so on the form.

If the evening starts at the airport, do not paste a rink onto the Manhattan airport row. LGA car service to Manhattan is a $150 sedan estimate for a direct transfer. Once you add a rink and a wait, the job is hourly from the terminal. JFK sedan to Manhattan is $170. Newark sedan to Manhattan is $170. Name the terminal and the flight. A Queens or Brooklyn first stop is its own quote.

A workable evening order

A calm version of the night is one rink, not three. Example: hotel pickup, Wollman or Rockefeller for the session you already hold, then dinner, then the hotel. Put those stops in that order. The three-hour minimum covers a short session only if you are not also holding the car through a long meal. If you are, say four or five hours up front. Releasing the car at the rink and booking a later return is the other honest shape, at the point-to-point floor, and it fails if you have no phone number for the return.

Coats, skates, and a shopping bag from the Bryant Park shops change the trunk question. Say so before an E-Class is assigned. The S-Class is the same three-passenger class at $175 an hour. It is not a larger car. Use it when you want that sedan, not when you need seats.

What to put on the booking

Write the rink, the session time you were given, the curb you want, and whether the car waits. Add every later address in order. Add passenger count and anything that is not a small carry-on. For December 2, say if you are trying to be near the tree lighting and accept that the walk will be longer. Call (929) 205-4788 if the session moves after the quote is written. The quote is the price. A changed hour is a changed quote, not a surprise at the curb.

FAQ

Which New York rinks can a chauffeur serve in one evening?

The usual three are the rink at Rockefeller Center, Wollman Rink at the southeast corner of Central Park, and the rink at Bryant Park. An evening that visits more than one, or that adds dinner, is hourly hire, not three separate one-ways.

What are the Bryant Park rink dates?

The Bank of America Winter Village, rink and shops, opens October 28, 2026 and runs through February 28, 2027. Extended hours fall around November 19 through January 3. Shops close earlier than the rink. Confirm the day at bryantpark.org.

Are Rockefeller and Wollman dates published here?

No. Confirm the 2026 season, session times, and bag rules with each rink. This page only fixes the geography and the car.

How much is an hourly chauffeur for a skating evening?

E-Class $120 an hour, Escalade $150, S-Class $175, Sprinter $200. Three hours is the minimum: $360, $450, $525, or $600. A one-way drop starts at $130 sedan or $160 SUV.

Does the tree lighting change Rockefeller pickup?

The 2026 lighting is Wednesday, December 2, 2026 (confirm at rockefellercenter.com). Broadcast is around 8 p.m., with the tree lit just before 10 p.m. That night the plaza is a crowd, not a curb. Use a side street and expect to walk.
